Meet Olive Greene. She Found a Letter With Her Name On It.
Olive Greene is twelve, curious, funny, and stuck spending afternoons at her grandmother's antique shop, The Knick Knack Shack. When an old red mailbox arrives at the shop, Olive finds letters hidden inside — all addressed to someone with her exact name.
The more Olive investigates, the stranger the mystery becomes. The letters point to an old farm, a stationery shop, a name no one seems able to explain, and someone who may have been waiting years for the truth to be found.

I wrapped my fingers around the metal handle and twisted.
Nothing happened.
I tried again.
Still nothing.
Then my thumb brushed the underside of the handle.
Click.
I froze.
Very slowly, I pulled open the little door. It was rusted and barely moved, but I could see inside.
Letters.
Not one or two.
Dozens.
I pulled one out by the corner.
The envelope was dry. Crisp. A little yellowed from age. Still sealed.
And weirdly, I could swear I smelled the faintest hint of lavender.
I flipped it over.
Written across the front, in dark green ink, were the words:
